This
is a poem about nothingness
It is kind of hard to write
How to describe a thing not there
That always evades my sight?
It has no
outstanding features
It’s neither large nor small
It has no real size or weight
And takes no space at all
Since never
all that animate
It really isn’t dead
It’s just a kind a void
(much like the space within my head)
I guess
I cannot write a poem
About a nonexistent thing
How to describe a donut hole
Or the space within a ring?
Perhaps this poem
is pointless
That would be my guess
Altogether its worth would be
Nothing, more or less.
