a small-snouted creature

  pops out from under a fedora
     like a gnome from a bulbous mushroom
   or, of course, an elf
    from its hollow tree
                  (TRADEMARK)
           (CENSORED)

     ...holding tiny
           pinhole cameras
         to document
          all possible intruders

      clawing at
           the wooden door
                for entrance

     "give us more! we
       arenot so scandalous
         as to be ashamed
           when photographed."

     and so on and so forth.
        radio explodes into
          color television
         and all our little fantasies
             become more and more beautifully
                                     irrelevant
