Dryad

I have often wondered about dryads with Bonsai trees. Don't know why. Anyway, this is a dryad coping in the modern world with his little tree. Anyway, I played around with the story in my headas I drew it. I would imagine a dryad wouldn't chose to have a tiny tree like that. In his case, by the time he "awakened", he found that modern man had already potted his tree and were getting ready to sell it. He basically ended up stealing himself and fleeing as quickly as he could. Unaware of where the grove of his ancestors might be, he considered planting the tree but could not find a secure location, his tree being rather fragile and all. He soon realized the benefits a mobile lifestyle could provide, and now considers his state with mixed feelings. He uses most all of his energy/magic maintaining a human form and keeping up the glamour that lets him move about undetected. His human form is different than a normal dryads because his tree simply can't support him alone, and he has taken to eating human food and becoming, well, more human through various efforts. Sometimes these efforts succeed, sometimes they don't. Unfortunately, he has lost the ability to become one with his tree, and now exists as almost a separate entity if not for the tight bond. Anyway, yeah, drawing.
